AD5781 is a single, unbuffered voltage output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that operates from a bipolar supply of up to 33V. This accepts a positive reference input range of 5V to VDD − 2.5V and a negative reference input range of VSS +2.5V to 0V. This offers a relative accuracy specification of ±0.5LSB maximum, and operation is guaranteed monotonic with a ±0.5LSB differential nonlinearity (DNL) maximum specification. The part uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates of up to 35MHz and is compatible with the standard serial peripheral interface (SPI), QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. Application includes medical instrumentation, test and measurement, industrial control, scientific and aerospace instrumentation, data acquisition systems, digital gain and offset adjustment, power supply control.
- Minimum resolution is 18Bits (VDD=+12.5V to +16.5V, VSS =−16.5V to −12.5V)
- Typical full-scale error is ±0.25LSB (VREFP=+10V, VREFN=−10V)
- Typical output slew rate is 50V/µs (unbuffered output, 10Mohm / 20pF load)
- Typical midscale glitch impulse is 3.1nV-sec (VREFP=+10V, VREFN=−10V)
- Typical output noise spectral density is 7.5nV/√Hz (at 1KHz, DAC code=midscale)
- Typical digital feedthrough is 0.4nV-sec (VDD=+12.5V to +16.5V)
- 0.05LSB long-term linearity stability
- 1µs output voltage settling time (10V step to 0.02%, using AD845 buffer in unity-gain mode)
- INL is ±4LSB, 20-lead TSSOP package
- Temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
