AD5114BCPZ10-500R7 is a single-channel, 128-position, I²C, 8% resistor tolerance, non-volatile digital potentiometer. The low resistor tolerance, low nominal temperature coefficient, and high bandwidth simplify open-loop applications, as well as tolerance matching applications. The wiper settings are controllable through an I²C-compatible digital interface that is also used to readback the wiper register and EEPROM content. Resistor tolerance is stored within EEPROM, providing an end-to-end tolerance accuracy of 0.1%. It is used in applications such as mechanical potentiometer replacement, portable electronics level adjustment, audio volume control, low-resolution DAC, LCD panel brightness and contrast control, programmable voltage to current conversion, programmable filters, delays, time constants, feedback resistor programmable power supply, sensor calibration.
- Resistor integral nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB typ at (VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 1.8V to VDD)
- Resistor differential nonlinearity is ±0.25LSB typ at (VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 1.8V to VDD)
- Resistance temperature coefficient is 35ppm/°C typ at (code = full scale, VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V)
- Bandwidth is 2MHz typical at (RAB = 10Kohm, VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 1.8V to VDD)
- 50-year typical data retention at 125°C, 1 million write cycles
- 2.3V to 5.5V analogue supply operation, 1.8V to 5.5V logic supply operation
- VW settling time is 2.7µs typical at (RAB = 10Kohm, VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 1.8V to VDD)
- Resistor noise density is 9nV/√Hz typ at (RAB = 10Kohm, VDD = 2.3V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 1.8V to VDD)
- Power dissipation is 5µW typical at (PDISS VIH = VLOGIC or VIL = GND, -40°C <lt/> TA <lt/> +125°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 8-lead LFCSP package
