LTC1592ACG#PBF is a serial input 16bit multiplying current output DAC that operates from a single 5V supply. This SoftSpan™ DAC can be software-programmed for either unipolar or bipolar mode through a 3-wire SPI interface. In either mode, the voltage output range can also be software-programmed. INL and DNL are accurate to 1LSB over the industrial temperature range in both unipolar and bipolar modes. This device includes an internal deglitcher circuit that reduces the glitch impulse to less than 2nV-s (typ). Application includes process control and industrial automation, precision instrumentation, direct digital waveform generation, software-controlled gain adjustment, automatic test equipment.
- Resolution is 16bits (max, VCC = 5V, VREF = 5V)
- Integral nonlinearity is ±0.3LSB (typ, TA = 25°C, VCC = 5V)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.2LSB (typ, VCC = 5V, guaranteed monotonic)
- Gain error is -2LSB (typ, all output ranges, VCC = 5V)
- Bipolar zero error is ±5LSB (max, TA = 25°C, all bipolar ranges)
- Gain temperature coefficient is 1ppm/°C (typ, ∆gain/∆temperature)
- Power supply rejection is ±0.2LSB/V (typ, VCC = 5V ±10%)
- DAC input resistance (unipolar) is 7kohm (typ, TA = TMIN to TMAX, VCC = 5V)
- Output capacitance is 160pF (typ, DAC Load All 1s)
- 16 lead plastic SSOP package, operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
