MAX244CQH+D

The MAX244CQH+D is a +5V powered multichannel RS232 driver/receiver in 44 pin PLCC package. This high slew rate device is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The MAX244 has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converter, RS232 driver, RS232 receiver and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. The integrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar ±12V supply and enables single supply operation from +5V supply. It is used in interface translation and multidrop RS232 network applications.

• Eight RS232 drivers and ten RS232 receivers

• 5μW shutdown mode saves power for reduced power requirements
• Data rate of 120Kbps
• VCC supply current of 11mA with no load and 57mA with 3Kohm loads on all outputs
• Transition slew rate is 10V/μs (CL = 50pF to 2500pF, RL = 3Kohm to 7Kohm)
• Shutdown supply current of 8μA at TA = 25°C
