MAX3815CCM+TD

The MAX3815CCM+TD is a TMDS digital video equalizer for DVI/HDMI cables in 48 pin TQFP package. This cable equalizer automatically provides compensation for DVI, HDMI, DFP, PanelLink and ADC cables. It extends TMDS interface length from 0 to 50m over DVI cable (24AWG STP (shielded twisted pair)), 0 to 36m over DVI cable (28 AWG STP), 0 to 30m over DVI cable (30AWG STP)). The MAX3815 is designed to equalize signals encoded in transition minimized differential signalling (TMDS) format. The device also provides loss of signal (LOS) output that indicates loss of clock signal. The outputs include disable function or equalizer can be powered down to conserve power. For direct chip to chip communication, the output drivers can be switched to one half DVI output specifications to conserve power and reduce EMI. The MAX3815 is used in front projector DVI/HDMI inputs, high definition televisions and displays, LCD computer monitors, DVI-D/HDMI cable extender modules and active cable assemblies.

• Power supply current of 165mA (active-low PWRDWN = HIGH) and 10mA (active-low PWRDWN = LOW)
• Equalization can be automatic or set to manual control for specific in cable applications
• Four CML differential inputs and outputs (three data and one clock)
