The 169-2832-050 is a 50-core 25-pair shielded round twist N Flat Jacketed Cable with tinned copper conductor and a PVC insulator. This ribbon cable comes with black PVC jacket, aluminium/polyester foil and a tinned copper braid shield (85% minimum coverage). It is designed to combine the electrical performance and handling features of discrete twisted pair cable with the mass termination capabilities of flat ribbon cable. The conductors are laminated in parallel on 0.05-inch conductor spacing every 20-inch to accept termination to insulation displacement connectors. Laminated 0.05-inch areas can be fabricated at custom intervals. A round 0.03-inch PVC jacket is extruded over the cable for maximum protection and ease of routing. The centre of each laminated 0.05-inch area is visible on the outer jacket to locate connector terminating areas quickly and easily.
