AD7689 is a 8-channel, 16bit, charge redistribution successive approximation register (SAR) analogue to-digital converter (ADCs) that operate from a single power supply, VDD. The device uses a simple serial port interface (SPI) for writing to the configuration register and receiving conversion results. The SPI interface uses a separate supply, VIO, which is set to the host logic level. Power dissipation scales with throughput. It is widely used in application such as multichannel system monitoring, battery-powered equipment, medical instruments: ECG/EKG, mobile communications: GPS, power line monitoring, data acquisition, seismic data acquisition systems, instrumentation, process control etc.

• Throughput is 250kSPS, dynamic range is 93.8dB
• SINAD is 91dB at 20kHz, THD is −100dB at 20kHz
• Analog input range is 0V to VREF with VREF upto VDD
• Single-supply 2.3V to 5.5V operation with 1.8V to 5.5V logic interface
• Operating temperature is −40°C to +85°C, packaging style is 20-lead LFCSP
