TMP17F is a low cost, monolithic integrated circuit temperature transducer that provides an output current proportional to absolute temperature. For a wide range of supply voltages, the transducer acts as a high impedance temperature dependent current source of 1pA/IN. Improved design and laser wafer trimming of the IC's thin-film resistors allow the TMP17 to achieve absolute accuracy levels and nonlinearity errors previously unattainable at a comparable price. It can be employed in applications from -40°C to +105°C where conventional temperature sensors are currently being used. Expensive linearization circuitry, precision voltage references, bridge components, resistance measuring circuitry, and cold junction compensation are not required with the TMP17. Application includes appliance temperature sensor, automotive temperature measurement and control HVAC system monitoring, industrial temperature control, thermocouple cold junction compensation.

- Typical nonlinearity is 0.5°C (over rated temperature, TA = -40 to 105°C)
- Nominal current output is 298.2µA typical (TA = 25°C (298.2K))
- Typical scale factor is 1µA/°C (over rated temperature)
- Typical repeatability is 0.2µA/°C (VS=5V, -40 to 105°C)
- Typical long term stability is 0.2°C/month (TA=150°C for 500Hrs)
- 8 pin NSOIC package, operating temperature range from -40°C to 105°C
