The Startech PEX1000MMSC2 PCI-Express Gigabit Fibre Network Card lets you connect a computer directly to a fibre optic network, by providing a dedicated multimode SC fibre port for your desktop PC or server through an available PCI-Express slot. Ideal for integrating into new or existing fibre infrastructure, this card delivers full Gigabit bandwidth to your computer up to 550 meters away from your network source, using multimode 50/125 micron duplex SC fibre cabling. Designed for wide compatibility, the versatile card also supports fibre integration with a computer up to 220m away when utilised on network frameworks that consist of multimode 62.5/125 micron cables.
